Wow. Another masterpiece. Words won't do these justice. When your book of these comes out, sign me up for a copy. Best, -Hugh

Animesh-da, I prefer this one over the previous post. This one has the essence of a classic with the presence of certain structures in it. The wash effect is working indeed.

And here is second beautiful foggy photo. More obvious in comparison with the previous one, but no less poetical. Great light. Like the series extremely. Greetings T.

After the deluge you supplied us with another moody beautiful scene. It's as if the condensation has formed on your lens and created this hazy effect. I don't know how you got these two photos to look like this, but it's really nice.
Take care,
Brian

Just cannot NOT look at this amazing, amazing shot, Animesh, before leaving for Budapest. (our internet at home has also been down for a week, not conducive to critiquing).Your recent works have been richer than ever, both in meaning and execution. This one, no doubt, is pure poetry.
Take care and see you in about a month.

Good grief, Animesh... this one's right up there with your last one. No sharpness anywhere here to disrupt the mood... just gritty, powerful mood.
Thanks!

Hello,
We often watch many a photographs of monsoon, but this recent exhibition from you is teaching all of us a new lesson about the subject. I think the idea of taking the shot from behind the glass created the unexpected magic. Drench us with more magical drops of rain!

And the blurry drizzle goes on, creating one dream after another. Lovely scene here with that sokaed Bengali landscape and wet road.
Superb,

A beautiful Holga-like impressionistic look here, Animesh! You have clearly mastered the depiction of rain--its mood, the all-encompassing dampness, its muting of all color, the ways we cope with it. And now, the light breaking through afterward, setting off the man and cows so well. A great series! Regards, Ken.

Your monsoon photographs seem like a dramatic ode to the human tragedy. The tension, impregnated with a poetic out of focus (hence unreasonal) vision, talks to our senses more than it describes a place or a laps of time. Every image in this series seems like an assemblage of elements that strike me deeply. Question of punctum, the way Barthes would put it.

I saw your previous monsoon image and didn't comment because I thought it had the mood though it lacked a higlight, the mood was like a backdrop, the rythm, I thought it still lacked a melody, something you can easily whistle under you shower, a particular story to go with, the focus point, the hero in the scene (referig to Barthes and Gal's words my own punctum), despite the brilliant text and studium accompanying it... and there it comes in this one... rainy, rural and dreamy.

Animesh! How are you, it's been awhile. Very nice work since I last came on. Very moody stuff here. This one has a great atmosphere to it, you can really feel the moisture---hope your camera got out of this in one piece!
