Photographer's Note
A beautiful place jsut at the bank of Ganga to play chess. One ways of People of varanasi for relaxing.
An Explanation: There is a little tilt at the horizon but to correct it I have to sacrifice some portion at the bottom which is not at all good for this photo and the essenece will be diminished. So I keep the shot as it is.
Hope u like it.

Hello Partha. Chess. Everywhere in the world it is played. Your photo shows the fascination of the play very beautifully. You caught it with your camera perfectly. Best regards, Wolfgang.

HI partha.
Very well captured shot.Very good observations and the angel is the most rewarding thing in this picture as per me though. The shifting of colors from the chess board to the tensed old man and then to the walls and finally ending at the violet colored object.Superb and fantastic. The back of the man on the right hand side boarder could have been croped.

Satya

Hello PArtha (namaste!) - nicely composed shot. Let me share something with you - I looked at the thumbnail and I could tell for SURE it was taken with a 17-40 - great lens - you crank it all the way to 17, look through the viewfinder and the story unflds, you know what I mean? Excellent use of space here, lots of deoth. Very nice work.
best,
Francis

Hello Partha,
I also noticed the tilt of the horizon, but the picture is so strong, the diffuse light so good that there's no need to worry about it. I can perhaps try a WS some time. Good photography for me. --

Hi Partha. Absolutely superb! I love the colours and the tight crop on the chess game. That said, the context is also very visible. This could be in Nat Geographic. Regards, Paul.

Hi Partha,
Nice point of view you got here! But no need to sacrifice anything!! I straightened out your photograph with a transformation warp and deleted the shoe and leg to the right with the clone stamp. Have a look at the workshop ;-).
Nice photograph!!

Dennis

Hi partha, I love those scenes which start with a nice foreground and dive into a very deep background... The tilt going up is a bit annoying I think, would be nice the opther way around, anyway it's very beautiful with a lot of details...
