Photographer's Note
Reflection of the long glacier range behind the Chandratal captured from the east bank. For the first time in my four visits I encountered about 2 inches of snow in July (2007). The snow was fresh on the peaks and the surrounding snow (near the lake) had just melted after the sun had come out after 2 days of being stuck inside the tent. Sure was a great sight after 2 depressing days.
Chandrataal is 14kms from closest roadhead Batal which in turn is 100 kms from Manali on the otherside of the Rohtang Pass.

Hello Nitin! This is a very good shot of a really beautiful place! I think it could be improved with some more sharpness. As some members say, it's nice to see white snow (as it is often blueish), but tt's a pity that the snow on the right is a bit overexposed (I know how difficult it is to expose in these conditions...).
Good work!
TFS, and take care!
