Photographer's Note
Three volcanos like three brothers. One is still active - the smoking one. And the rest two - the dead ones - around the active "little brother".
Historicaly it is a valley, whitch used to be the original Bromo. Bromo became unactive, but in some time in the huge crater 3 small and young volcanos were born.
The picture was taken at the edge of the old - original- Bromo.
Another classic from the tourisms aims - volcano Bromo in Indonesia. It remains me the Mount Sinai in Egypt, just lucky for me - not so crowded.
But the most interesting for me is the language. The volcano means "gungun". Simple, wise and understadable for every non-polyglot.

Hi Ilze. Spectacular photo, with the clouds and smoke the composition is very impressive. And I like the contrast between clear colors in sky and dark color in ground. Maybe a more saturated blue is a good idea, but only maybe :) Good work.

Hi Ilze,
A spectacular of 'Gunung' Bromo view, i'm not boring to see this beautiful mountain despite there so many pictures on TE. Your composition is perfect to show the smogs around the mountains. Great shot Ilze, i like it. tfs

Hello Ilze,
Lights, clarity and sharpness are very attractive in your photo. You saw the scene excellently and captured perfectly. Smokes, rust colored ridges and their textures are makes your frame unique one with splendidly cloudy sky. Congratulations.

And I thought this was a sea wave or something.
Lovely capture, great POV and exposure bringing that atmosphere to my screen.

I hope I can see this view in live with my own eyes one day...Simply amazing landscape, even if it's not the first photo I see. You got a perfect lighting. Mount Sinai...hmmm...quite diferent, I think - believe me, you can see many things in Egypt without being bother by tourists - even Sinai. Well, not Mount Sinai, but many other peaks, including the highest, Mount St. Catherine.
