Dance is an important part of Balinese culture, and children learn it from as young as four! By 9 or 10 they can be very accomplished. The dancers are usually very beautiful and it’s not difficult to see why many people like to watch them dancing. The Bali dancer also uses her eyes very expressively. As for the hands, they have typically ornamental role and emphasize the dance's delicate intricacy.
