Taken from a bus in the safari like zoo (Taman Safari Indonesia). The distance between me and the tiger is about 2-3 meters..

Superb portrait, the colors just meks him pop out of the frame. He looks a bit sad to me.

Hello Abi, I also was there in 2000, very nice Safari :) Unfortunately the tigers didn't give me such a nice look. The sadness of this tiger makes the picture so special. Give it to the WWF as they fight against the distinction of Tigers and other species. Very nice colours and great DOF (Distance of Focus) If I'm right the focus is exactly on the tigers eyes. Good framing too. Excellent.

Great shot. Your presentation (crop, colors, and sharpness) are perfect. The pic is a little erie to look at, I feel like a big can of cat food.

I like it when the DOF is just right. And it is just right here: from the whiskers to the eyes. The tip of the nose is soft, and so are the ears. It definitely calls the attention where it's due. Nice way to fill up the frame.

Très belle prise de vue , même si ça manque un peu de netteté sur le museau , mais ça fait ressortir les yeux.

Nice shot Abi;
It's the DOF in this shot which really catches my eye. I like how the eyes are really sharp yet the nose is tips of the ears are already going out of focus- makes for a nice effect.
Not following the rule of thirds- but the subject is strong enough that you can get away with it...
