Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken from the platform of Shin-Yūbari Station which is the transfer station which goes to Yūbari Station from south Chitose Station (Sekishō Line). This station is a station which consists of the main line to which there connects between Shintoku Station in Kamikawa-gun and Chitose Minami Station in Chitose-shi, and a branch line between Shin-Yūbari Station and Yūbari Station in Yūbari-shi. I rode on the limited express for Obihiro from south Chitose Station, and got off at this station for transfer. I had to wait for one hour and a half in order to have ridden on the branch line for Yubari Station. However that may be, the trees of the mountain which is behind of a station were dyed beautiful autumnal tints. So, the autumn season of Hokkaido is early about one month compared with the mainland. Simply, that is the reason because latitude is high. I was fascinated by the surrounding scene for a while from on the platform in which nobody is present. After a while, the local train came into the opposite lane, and several passengers were taken down, and it ran away in the tunnel direction under a mountain calmly. After I took several photographs at this plathome, I came out of the wicket, took a walk the circumference of this station for about one hour, returned to the station, and jumped in the train for Yūbari. The surrounding was time when it was beginning grow dark.
