Photographer's Note
The origin of "OJIZO-SAMA" has that how many kinds of opinion. Here, it introduces simply. As for "OJIZO-SAMA", the Buddhistic guardian deity of children is origin. In the world after death, a guardian deity of children protects the child who died while it was young. Red clothing is a mark for telling the child who is present in the world after death about "there are parents here."

This is really nice shot. The DOF is great choice with the other Ojizo statues in the background. The saturated red colors looks powerful against the stone faces.

Nice. I like the red colour.
Thank you for the informative note. I learn a lot from your pictures and notes. I have been in Japan 5 years and I did not know this. When I asked one of my friends he just told me, it is to keep the children warm.
Thanks for the notes and the picture.
Regards

Wonderful composition and color! An expression of "OZIZO-SAN" gentle to is good. Moreover, your note brings about many information and is useful. They will not be cold if there is this new clothing:)

With the diagonal composition you let the tradition go back in the past(blurred)/come out in the present(sharp) - very good.

Great shot! I think the contrast of the black background and vivd red clothing is very strong and dramatic. The texture of the stone is beautifully portrayed and the DoF is perfect in this photo. A really well seen and taken shot!
Great note too.

I love your photo of these Ojizo-sama. You did a good job controlling the depth of field. I used to live in Japan, but now live in London, so this photo reminds my of the happy time I had in Japan. I remember often walking by Ojizo like these.
Regards,
Tom
