Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken on the stairs in front of the precincts of the Ikegami Honmon-ji temple of Tokyo Ōta-ku. One stray cat was sitting on it gently, closing eyes on the foundation of a stone lantern. It was the considerably fat cat. When I got down from the stairs which reach entrance gate of a temple, this cat began to get down and move from a pedestal. When often observed, an elderly woman comes and she began to give food this cat. Probably, she is the residents who live near this temple. This cat was waiting for the daily habits which a master comes and give a meal. Even if I go to an urban park etc., I notice those who give such a stray cat meal. Although the owner is taking care of it with the walk, the sufficient meal, etc., about the dog, I feel relieved that there are those who also do such an easy act to a stray cat in daily life.
