Spring Bird #1, a photo from Tokyo, Kanto

So busy every day but last weekend I could get hald day to shot in Shinjuku park and I got this shot. I am not sure this bird's English name, it may be "Japanese Whit-eye"? Anyway this bird so common in Japan, speacialy in Spring.

Sakura so early? I thought in Tokyo it only started in the middle of March.
Beautiful image with the bird - so well composed, timed and sharp with feather details clearly visible. I saw some of these birds in Taiwan in a cage. Here it's nice to see it free.

It's a lovely photo of the bird sitting on the twig going diagonally between two corners. The dark background underscores the fine light falling on the flowers and the bird and brings out its many beautiful colours.

Hi Takero,
This is the essence of Japanese art ! What a beautiful bird, which we don't see in Europe, I'm afraid !
The sharpness of the bird and of the blooming branch against the darker, blurred background makes it a top quality picture.
