Photographer's Note
The Japanese tea ceremony is a unique cultural tradition, which began in the 15th century.
Although the ceremony was restricted to only the wealthy in the past, today it is something in which everyone can take part.

Hi Andre!
A wonderful work yours...
The perfect focus on hands enhances its importance on the ritual, we could see hatd hands that seem to have worked for many years...but even are treated with care...a very important part of the ceremony...every angle, every moment is delicate and studied...
Very good skills...excellent light, colours and sharpness...it is a great work...
Congratulations...

Hiyya,
Swell!

Yves.

Hello Andre
A superb capture with the shallow depth of field bringing the attention right to the hands and bowl. Wonderful sharpness and perfect cropping to convey the gravity of the ceremony and it's importance being the main point of focus instead of the person performing the ceremony...elegantly conveyed
The soft and natural golden side lighting falling on the hands is also perfectly captured
Thanks for sharing

Gorgeous and delicate focus, Andre - just a perfect choice of DOF and framing to isolate the hands and bowl, but also to give them context from the BG. Such nice, balanced light, too - it brings out the texture of the hands and brush particularly well. Lovely capture.

Again a festivity of colors and punctuality in terms of focus.
Although I understand your capture of 1/3, I tend to prefer a landscape mode, which would entail more details of the delightful brown fabric on the right and more emphasis on the hands.
Amicalement,
Erdem
