Photographer's Note
Taken from the Sunshine tower in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The mess of buildings I thought was interesting and looked like a puzzle. Anyplace you live there are good and bad points. Crowded living in Tokyo is one of the not so good points and I hope that this photo illustrates how crowded Tokyo can be to live in.
someone said it looks like legos. I liked that so I changed the name
EDIT:
Levels
Color balance
Curves on Lum chan in lab mode

Notes:
I think im happy with this due to the feed back that I have seen. The intention was for there to be no start or finish or lines or anything that could identify where the world begins and where it ends its all just there. that seems to be the feeling several people have stated as well so Im glad that my intention was able to be seen.

I like this picture very much, there is so many building! It is like made of LEGO. I like that the picture is very dense - we don't see the sky, just those "cubes", I like also those a bit oversaturated colours, very nice shot!

good lord... would never want to live there, but you took an amazing photo! I also like the fact that all we see are buildings. very well chosen composition!

Wonderful wonderful !
It seems to be LEGO truly!
It did not know that such a scene was in sight from Sunshine.
I want to look at this scene with the naked eye.

Wow, yes, the buildings look like lego blocks built of lego blocks. An almost surreal image of Tokyo. Most of the buildings look clean and well maintained, whereas that is not the case in Hong Kong. It is strange that the whole area is filled with highrise buildings without any sort of break for a park or any other green landscape feature. It looks like an interesting place to visit.

yes, well spotted, and composition, not showing any sky and almost no street, is very good.

You fooled me! I sat for a long while looking at what I thought was Lego and tried to find a revealing detail. I find the picture a bit to chaotic with given place to rest the eye and no lines to follow. But if the purpose is to describe the chaos in a big city that purpose is reached.

Good tittle. Without the right composition, but with incredible sense of creativeness. What an aggregate of diffenet objects with the altogether point....the appartment.
I can't believe that the people want to live in a so limitative space... home sweet home!?

It is an amazing picture, looks like Lego blocks randomly chosen and arranged. The composition is helped by having only buildings, the lack of guiding lines and color pattern only contribute to the chaotic picture.

You managed to capture a wide variety of shapes & colors -- pink even. It's definitely a more engaging picture than your average Tokyo from above shot. Reminds me of my old neighborhood.

This photo creats in me an afflictive feeling! Very claustrophobic!
You really managed to transmit your message. This photo is great with all the buildings on top of each other but at the same time different from another, because of the different shapes, colors and orientations.
I don't know where to look exactly but at the same time can't get my eyes out of it!

I have tried for ages to get a capture of Tokyo like this. Your intention of showing Tokyo as a never ending jumble of confusing buildings is just great. The pushed colors give a pleasing old post-card feel - particularly in the red/pink range, and your overall framing (little roads, no expressways, trains or tall buildings) really makes this a great photograph.

Not much of a pic I first thought, but after seeing where it is and your ideas behind, I find it very good. Big + + for your creativity to bring a feeling and emotion out in a planned photo!
