I was surprised to see how much I liked the ligting from these light bulbs not coming up to today's saftey standards for wiring

Hi Thomas,
great shot! I like the mood of this b/w picture. The shop assistant seems to be listening to a customer. The rays around the light bulbs are warming the whole image.

.....and you would be surprised. Todays wiring at Tsukiji fish market looks NO different! You could take the same picture there, although the hairstyle may be different. In 40 years, nothing much has changed.

Nice. What is surprising is that we can see the same little shops today, for example in south Kyoto, East Tokyo or in Osaka !
A very nice shot that speaks for itself, without explanations... t is just life! The focus on this young women is just perfect. The good timing. Cheers.
