Good plan (or at least mine): Get there early, head right up the street to "Legends" in Roppongi. Have a drink or two and wait for the blue hour or until the Tower lights up, than stroll on over... :)

Hello John,

I like this shot very much. You've planned it well, and used the moon as a counterpoint to the Tokyo Tower. It was in 1983 that we visited Yokohama, and took a train to Tokyo. The tower became a landmark to find our way around, since the roadsigns were unreadable (for us). Last year I had submitted a photo meant to be a Season's Greetings. It is evocative of your shot, and I wish you the best of season's greetings.

Hi John,

Remarkable photo of this iconic Japanese structure. It obviously takes a lot of inspiration from its older cousin in Paris. Your perspective is stupedious, making the tower an unearthly sight, almost alien, and the inclusion of the greatly detailed moon really increases this space-age feel. Wonderful sharp details, a supreme architectural photo.

Quelle composition colorée et magnifique! Je me demande comment tu as fais pour avoir la lune si bien éclairée, avec des lumières si fortes sur la tour, sans brûler la photo, une gestion excellente!
