Photographer's Note
There I was stuck in the Narita Airport for a couple hours awaiting my connecting flight to Vancouver when I happened to spot them cleaning the windows of this Boeing 747. I wonder if he checked the oil as well...?
Cheers,
- Dan

That's a pretty interesting shot, of something that I can't recall aving seen. I can just imaging the local unemployed roaming the airport with hydrolic gear, just waiting for a plane to become stationary for a second, then - splash!

Great shot. Funny photo! The pilot pointing at where there's a spot left. Checked the oil and the tires (all 24 or so of them). Regards, Huub

Hai Dan, what a lovely and funny shot you have here. I guess the hours spent in Narita do pay if you have an eye for details. 8-)

Great capture, dan. You managed to "humanize" the jumbo which seems like a big beast at some zoo getting its morning toilet. Great clarity and colors. Cheers, Francis

Nice one Daniel - well spotted and well executed - this happens at traffic lights in London all the time but usually the pilots aren't so helpful and many drive off without paying!
Great composition!

Hi Dan,
when you consider the high tech. used in these planes, it's really funny to see them cleaned like this.
Nicely spotted and composed, good shot with great clarity.

A most unusual scene. Now we know how the pilot's window is kept clean. I like how you have "nosed" the nose of the plane so well into the frame. I would say you caught this scene at the decisive moment, Dan. Good shot.

Hi Dan
A superb close up shot of the aircraft maintenance worker, on his cherry picker crane. Well titled, with the pilot apparently pointing to something. Good color & sharpness. Excellent work!

Hi Dan,
As someone who works in the aereonautic sector, I cant help but look at this great photograph. It is very well composed, I like the way the white mass of the plane covers most of the photo and the smallness of the guy.
Well seen

Hahahaha! I've never seen this before man. I don't know why but I always thought a machine did this sort of thing. Nicely composed, warm light, and amazingly you even got a "decisive moment" in this too with the guy inside pointing out a "missed" spot!
So how was your trip home man? Do anything interesting (better yet, do anything really, really stupid? ;)

Hi Dannyboy! ;-) I wanted to comment on this one for a while, because I am so impressed by the size of such a plane. I like the inclusion of those very small windows. The dashes of color, the neon yellow and the red bits are lovely in the shot.
I like your other shots as well, apart from the watrefall, I hate milkwhite water ;-)
Take care, Rinie

hi dan,
this kind of no-nonesense approach to even the most menial tasks was what struck me the most when i was in japan. they seem to do everything by how it's suppose to be done.
inspiring at times, tiring at times, and most interesting at times, as you've captured!
cheers,
sharon
