Photographer's Note

A girl at hanami in Shinjuku Gyoen. The original photo of this was lost in a hard disk failure so I dont have the details for it. I do remember that I was using 100 ISO and my 28-135 IS USM lens I took this from a distance with without the girl knowing. SHe is actually a friend of mine who I happen to run into at the park and I took this before she saw me.

NOTES:
Edwin, Real name is Jeff but Im refered to as boof... long story involving a live show and lots of beer.... I find concert lighting is the most difficult to deal with due to the constantly changing lights. but its also my favorite photography.

EDIT:
I think i did just levels shadow and white point. and USM not sure what else I did. color balance is something I usually do so im guessing that as well. I dont think i had figured out curves on teh lum chan yet so maybe jsut curves on the RGB chan.

Very good detail and I also like where you friend was looking at the time. It is a good capture and it leaves us thinking what she was talking about before you took it. So there is that kind of mystery in the picture. Nice cropping and perfect detail of clothing.

I have a titlle : "Oriental beauty" , she is a perfect model.The photo is very good, nice light, colors and definition.

It's a wonderful portrait of your friend Boof! (Is that your real name, Boof Boof? :) A lovely frame as well, revealing many details from her clothing too. Even under these hard lighting conditions you returned a well exposed face. IMHO direct sunlight is one of the most difficult types of lighting, especially if you are not able to use -some sort of- reflection shield... I would have liked to see her more "en trois quarts", but then using such angle she would have noticed you and spoiled the moment. A great shot!
