Photographer's Note

Kuala Perlis is the second largest town and the main port of Perlis in Malaysia. It is in extreme northwest Peninsular Malaysia, near the border with Thailand. The older part of town has houses and mosques built on stilts over mangrove swamps.

Kuala Perlis is also famous for its seafood, especially Laksa.

Hello Foozi. I have admired your photo for few minutes before I can say anything. It is very skilfully photographed. The path of sun ray is placed just right so that the boat and the stilts are in part shadows. Excellent horizon. All in all a wonderful photo!

Laksa Penang kegemaran kita bro, kita kalau nak makan kita pergi seberang kat Gelang Patah JB. Kat sini tak. Tapi tak pernah try laksa Perlis, ada persamaan nya tak.

Awesome shot at golden hour and what so good is the balance exposure you have achieved even the fireball is not blown up. Well placement of the silhouttes and there are also good highlights in the shadows areas and of course the golden sheen on the water and its ripples are nost attractive. Great effort bro!

Hello Foozi,

You're capturing well this beautiful sunset scene by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the sea/sky dyed to orange color and lonely fishing boat which is at anchor to the sea. And, the small surf draws out a good atmosphere as well as some sticks.

The distance between the boat and the horizon is giviong depth to the picture. The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The sunset is giving nice colors to the sky and to the water. Have a nice day.

very nice the snapshot from the sunset over Kuala Perlis island.I like the colour tints of the sky,the reflection of the sun on the calmly surface of the sea, as the existence of the boat that adds a beautiful optical effect in the whole scenery.

A superb sunset with good sharpness and wonderful silhouettes and graphism. The sun is well positioned in the top right corner away from the centre. The horizon is also well placed on the 1/3 axis. Tfs!

A very well balanced picture with a beautiful sunset and its nice long reflection in the sea. Apart of the dark boat I also like the silhouettes of the mooring poles and the dark waves in the orange glow on the water.

a beautiful scene at sunset. You have caught with a great skill the wonderful golden tones in the sky and in the reflections on the water, creating an amazing contrast with the dark silhouettes of the boat and of the sticks.
The sun still is high on the sky, but you have controlled skillfully this strong cross-light.
