Photographer's Note

this is a shot taken at the same fishing village, but this is a different feeling altogether, this is the timber (mangrove) that supports their houses on stilts....

it is amazing how these timber would hold out day after day of tide and wind, and the nature of Mangrove is it grows stronger in water, and with age...

i love the texture and the dark color...somehow gives me a very sad feeling, yet full of pride, in its little way, it plays the role of providing a shelter and most importantly a home for the families....they could not afford luxuries, but they appreciate the simplicity of having a rood over their head.

comments, critiques and ws welcomed.
