Photographer's Note
One of the many Buddhist temples that ring Taunggyi, the capital city of Shan State in NE Burma. Shan is quite hilly and most of Taunggyi sits in a valley surrounded by high scrubby hills. Temples like this one are placed every few hundred metres along the hilltops, connected by pretty walking paths.
