Underneath her big hat sat a cleaner, scraping the candle wax from a street temple/diety. The writing on her hat conjures up imaginative thoughts, but it probaly says "Municipality of Yangon" :-)

Such an imaginative POV, Elaine. I'm on board, also anything invlving scripts, such as your last shot, and uite a few of Luko's, get me going...The lighting is extrardinarily subtle and delicate.
All in all a very successful image and a note that, though short, is sweet and to te point.

Hello Elaine, This is terrific. Great POV and beautiful lighting. What I like most is the repeating motifs: the brown of her hat, jacket, and the flowers on her pants and the round shape of her hat and the bucket (wish the whole bucket was shown). A funny note--you're probably right about the writing!

An unusual positioning and quite original in execution. A good composition and nice light and colouring. Leaves a lot to the imagination, which is good.

Great lovely scene, the light on her back makes the shot, there are much details all over the shot but my eyes are pulled to the light of her back and I can't resist it. Very very beautiful moment.

That's a beauty Elaine, excellent tight standing frame, oerfect darker background to spot her out with this incredible hat and the letters written on it and this fine touch of light on her back.

You are just amazing, Elaine. How on earth did you manage to find a woman that.....besides wearing this incredibly beautiful hat in khaki shade .....is wearing a shirt in the same khaki shade and even the patton in her dress contains exactly the same khaki shade. Of course the colour of the script is matching too. Why am I not surprised....:)

for me this is wonderful shot;
even though a bit "unpersonal", cause you choosed to catch the scene from behind, it has great feeling.
I like close look and whole composition.
also the view from above works great.

Beautifully noticed and achieved, I especially like how the round shaped hat is recalled by the bucket.. a good point for the lighting too. Perhaps the only distracting thing is the slightly red colored "mess" on top on the image... you could either crop it or locally desaturate the red color in that area, I think that would enhance the focus on the geometry.

It's nice the hat is taking up almost half the image. It's a beautiful one so it's okay. your POV combined with great lighting and balance makes this photo very attractive.

An intriguing image, which invites inquisition and deeper examination. The detailing and structure of the hat is fascinating, and the light you have captured is wonderfully subtle.
