Picture of Tibetan pilgrims at Boudhanath walking clockwise round the stupa discharging their religious duty as the air resounding with bells, horns and chanting prayers and mantra sending compassion and healing in all directions ....

Boudhanath Religious Complex lies about 5 km north east of Kathmandu, a well-known pilgrimage site, is a magnet for Buddhist followers and holds its place among the largest stupas in the world. It presents one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design with hundreds of prayer wheels and numerous small images of Buddha all around. It is also home to some 16000 Tibetan refugees living in the vicinity of this sight since 1959.

Walk and shoot: camera preset on manual mode & lens prefocused and polarised using fast shutter speed with a tiny hot shoe attached spirit level to get the camera square and horizontal.

Additional picture:
Boudhanath Stupa, the biggest stupa in Nepal and one of the most flourishing centres of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. The same subject was posted in 2012, seen from diff view point.
