Photographer's Note
Shot taken in the late afternoon near our camp on the upper bassin of the Braldu Glacier in the Karakoram range, Pakistan.
We were in the middle of our, 20 days long, spring expedition that included 12 days in autonomia with skis and pulkas. The altitude here is approx 4900m, it was 2 days before reaching the Lupke La pass (5570m) that leads to the mighty "Snow Lake".
I remember very well this moment as I thought it was the most incredible light I've ever seen. I hope this picture give an idea of this high altitude very special light.
Regards,
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,
An impressive view...makes us humans really small seeing these great mountain ranges. the large view is even more impressive. Wish that the campground would be in the sun so we could see it more clear, but nevertheless a great view from a great place...well done.
Regards,
Henk
