Santorini??? Nope...., a photo from La Union, Ilocos

At first glance, you can say it's Santorini. But is it?

This place is at the Thunderbird Resort in La Union, Philippines. The resort's building design is similar with that of Santorini's. It is facing west, thus the beautiful sunset. It's also located several meters above sea level, making you feel like you're actually in Santorini.

Hi Alford,
A very good POV, I like the way you've used the foreground to give good depth to the image. Composition is also good, it's a very nicely balanced frame. At first I was a little apprehensive about the pillar on the right of frame but in context it works really well, so too the archway framing the main part of the shot, it works well.
The colours are spectacular, maybe a little too saturated on the blue side but you've created the atmosphere one would encounter in Santorini perfectly. The sunset on the far horizon is the icing on the cake.
Very nicely crafted image in every respect.

Great result, it does indeed look similar to Santorini. I'm surprised there are no other people in the scene. Great colours and compositin framed by the curving roof.

The picture is really great ; Superb capture at the blue hour , with an excellent framing and perspective .
Interesting , too . I'm not really conviced by the fact that it is fine to find the architecture of Santorini in the Philipinnes . If it is a resort for foreign tourists , I can't understand the interest to go there .

Magnifique couleurs tout en dégradée et dans les tons bleu,devant un ciel aux couleurs superbe de fin de journée,mais surtout quelle netteté ce qui fait extrèmement bien ressortir les lumières,splendide,bravo.

Your title sucked me in. It does look like Greece.
I really like the colors and the odd shape the roof line and railing create for the framing. Lovely pink sunset. Good color and clarity.
