one of the most active volcanoes in the country, Mayon volcano, tries to hide behind the clouds early morning March while the city patiently and persistently fights existence against explosive volcanic threats. Both Legaspi City and Mayon have survived for more than four hundred years together. The city's name a remnant of the spanish conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legaspi.
