3rd posting on the series of Philippines Folk Dances the 1st 2 photo are Sinkil 1 and Sinkil 2

The Salidsid is the Kalinga courtship dance, performed by a male and female (and thus is sometimes called the "cayoo" dance). The dance starts when each of the dancers are given a pice of cloth called ayob or allap. Usually the most important people in the village are the second to dance after the host has signified that the occasion is formally open. The background and meaning in this dance is evident. The male simulates a rooster trying to attract the attention of a hen while the female imitates the movements of a hen being circled by a rooster.

Beautiful shot of the girl, Verge! That balancing act is just amazing! The man is also well captured in his native clothes. Very good shot of a cultural show! I just wish the background is not of a mall, but nature - trees and mountains, but that's another story! Great catch! rgds.

hi vergel, its such a nice series: dynamic, colourful action shots with good exposure - just a general remark: i think you should pay a little more attention to cropping the humans - careful pointing your gear should help to avoid cutting off the legs (feeth are so important)
