Intramuros, a photo from Manila, NCR

Photographer's Note

Intramuros is the oldest part of Manila and sits on the banks of the Pasig River. It is a walled area and was first settled by the Spanish in 1571. Most of the historic buildings were destroyed during the Battle of Manila in WW2 and reconstruction started in the 1950s. Its a beautiful place to walk around or take a horse and cart. The are a couple of attractive parks and the old fort on the river bank.

Hello Chris,
A fine way to tour the old part of any city. I like the point of view and the inclusion of the activity in the background. Good saturated colours and excellent sharpness.

Hello Chris,

You have captured a couple of methods of transport, here; I prefer the horse-drawn version!!
This is a good, daily life scene, nicely composed with the pavement guiding and the focal horse-drawn vehicle, strongly placed.
I might have cloned out the object bottom left, which is a bit distracting.

Hi Chris

I have uploaded a similar shot from the Manila waterfront. The diagonal path adds good dynamism & sharpness and density are superb. Good color contrasts between yellow and blue, and punchy light levels with excellent colour & saturation. Tfs!

Nice collected this street view, Chris.
The yellow color and a bit about the green - in good contrast to the mostly grey tone there.
looks as the horse was looking directly to the camera... funny, my imagination maybe.
