Photographer's Note

Probably the most beautiful cathedral in Saint Petersburg, built at the end of the 19th century on the place where the tsar Alexander II was assisinated. It was reopened to public in 1997 after a longlasting but perfect renovation started already in 1980's - it took more time than the construction.
In Stalin's times it was used as a warehouse for various staff, eg. potatoes.
