Photographer's Note

This was the first day of winter (judging by calendar), and I happened to be walking on the beach in Zelenogorsk/ The wind was chilly, and it was driving fine ice film against the shore. It piled up and broke and piled up yet again, with a peculiar susurration. I will post more pictures from that evening, as that ice created wonderful patterns almost like glass, but this one, with setting sun backlighting the piles of broken thin ice, reminds me of Coleridge's Vision in A Dream.
