Photographer's Note

I wish I could say that this shot was taken while treking through the jungles of India.... but I can't.

This is a return to my shots from the Singapore Zoological Gardens.

I must have spent a good 45 minutes at the White Tiger exhibit trying to get some good shots, and learning more about their behaviour in the process.
There were two tigers wading in the waters below as this tiger was mock stalking them as it would prey.

Within a flash the great cat would bolt from one side of the enclosure, across the log (partially seen here) en route to the other side of the enclosure. With a great amount of speed, I found this a true test for my new Sigma 170-500mm lens. I set the camera for multiple shutter burst @ 1/200 while "PANNING" (monopod mounted), allowing detail in the face against the blur of the forest.

I'm quite happy with the results...

All the best,
- Dan
