Photographer's Note
I have to start this note off by saying thanks to John Yek for his posting "City Colors, Inside Pepsi" which gave me the inspiration for this shot of the same place, the underground passage leading across Orchard Road to the MRT (subway). This place is constantly FULL of advertising, as you can see in John's image as well, it changes almost monthly. Always very vibrant, and normally very neon blue.
With this shot, many may think that I've gone overboard on saturation- when in all honesty I haven't touched it. It really does have to be seen to be believed. I set my camera atop the railing at the bottom of the escalator for this shot.

I hope you like it...

Hi Dan
Superb time exposure with excellent & effective blur. I like the futuristic look of the train stn & the warm cold opposition between the blue & magenta. It looks similar to the Hong Kong MRT. Good shot!

Hi Dan,
A unusual picture but very beautiful, the blue colour tones are wonderful, also the blur because of speed, I like of this experiment.
Thanks for sharing.
Greetings,
John.

great work with the shutter speed, I like the amount of people here, it makes it seem so busy, or like in a rush hour, the picture of a lady, fits perfectly of the moving person, well done

A very special picture!! A long perspective and the blue tone is very special. The blurred people are ghost like and the best thing in my taste is the mysterious way the body on the left mergers with the head in the frame. Weird!!

Dan, I am totally puzzled by the result! It is incredibly nice and impacting! i love the idea and the use of speed to blur and make those passers-by disappear from the print! they look like ghosts... in short, so to speak, a very metaphorical shot ! well done! i am impressed by the quality of the result. you are smart DAn!

Hi Daniel
You cleverly merge the body of the person on the LHS with the poster showing a head on the wall.
Good job, and nice effect.
Well done,

When I first saw this by searching pics done with the Rebel 300D i thought ...What the heck is that???. I had to open it to check this out. I always like perspecive shots. This is a little extreme but that is compensated by such dynamic interest and colors. Then you start to see people inside it too. I really like this. Bu tis seems way too much money to get from here to there. Nice experience though..

Yo Dan, I hadn't seen a pic from ya in awhile so I thought I'd check out some older stuff.
To tell you the truth this one didn't seem interesting in the thumbnail, but I couldn't figure out what it was so I opened it--and wow guy, it's a fantastic shot. Great idea in itself, but the fact that you got that blurred girl on the left to be almost visible but her head, and then have that poster of a model's head in it's place!! very cool man.
I know that the colour is pretty powerful here, but I'd really be interested in what this would look like as a very high contrast BW.
Cheers man!

Hi Dan. After seeing your skateboard shot, I decided to look through your older shots. This one caught my eye right away. I've always wanted to take a shot like this, but there are no places that have the right mixture of color and traffic.

Hi Daniel,
Wow this is a very original photo very proffesinally done. I love the deep blue colour. Its great how the moving bodies of the passerbyes melt with the faces on the ad folders.
A true masterpiece.
Goes to my favorites

Hi Dan
This is a truly a spectacular photo .. you have achieved a good symmetry in this photo ... I think I am also going to try this technique sometime
thanks for sharing man .... cheers .... sarju
PS: but I wonder if it is a good to try this technique in Toronto ... I am not sure about the west coast but the subways in this part of canada are pretty much very plane ... without any colours and drama .. looking at beautiful subway around the world I think they should do something about it in Canada ...

This is a very nice way of showing the fast pace of the MRTs. I miss travelling in the Singapore MRTs. Thanks for sharing.

I like your photo better then the photo that inspired you to take this shot. As a lucky detail I like the girls-body on the left with the head from the advertisement.
