Photographer's Note
This is Clarke Quay, as seen from a nearby Car Park.
A geat place to go for dinner, drinks, or just a good time; Clarke Quay offers a wide variety of venues with choices of indoor or outdoor alfresco dineing. Clarke Quay is approximately half way through an $80 Million ($48+ Million USD) redevelopment which is sure to make it Singapore's premier wine & dine destination.
Cheers,

I really like the lines and curves formed by the traffic, the star shaped on the lamps are wonderfull.
The colors on the windows of the building on the right are just great.

A beautiful photo I was particularly drawn to the dynamic sense of motion formed by the vehicle head lights combined with the stillness of the cars that created them.
Wonderful distribution of colour

Hi Dan,
Superb night scene, very sharp due to the closed aperture and dynamic due to the capture of the moving traffic with the long exposure, great rendering !
Have a nice sunday,

It is a very nice night shot. I like the trajectories, and the fact that the light is very clear and uniform. You probably used a star filter?
Well done,

Very good exposure and nice composition Dan. Pity there was nobody using the reverse bungy in the 30 seconds you had the shutter open - that would really have got people guessing what it was! Cheers . . . David

I think this is one of your best Dan, a great viewpoint and awesome exposure, the composition is stunning, this is made by the traffic trails leading the viewer around the image and up to the river. Simple stunning - be very proud of this!

Hello Dan. This is a colourful and superbly sharp night shot. The light trails of the cars seem to frame the stationary objects and lead the eye around the frame.

Great photo. I've been trying for so long to have a good photo with that effect, and after seeing this and how it looks, I just feel like running upstairs, get my camera and hit the road to find a place like this...But my brother took my cam with him in Europe, damn him :@...The lights are..gorgeous? yah it's about right.
Well done

This is definitely an appealing shot, but what lets it down for me is that there is no clear subject. You do have a prominent building to the right, but you aren't really making the best use of it. I can definitely understand that the light trails are photographically interesting, but they'll never make the shot on their own. If possible I'd look for a viewpoint further left and make that well lit building my subject whilst still capturing the light trails in the foreground. One test is to imagine the shot without the light trails - is it still interesting?

Dan, I think that you caught this shot at the perfect time. I know once you figure out how to capture a long exposure that many shots can become routine. I THink what you ahve shown here is that a little more time spent finding a good location and waiting for the traffic to be right makes all of the difference. Great work!
