Temple in the Snow, a photo from Choongcheongnamdo, Nord

Photographer's Note

A cold December day, at a Buddhist Temple, outside Daejeon City. I liked the empty bench at left & the cyan vs red color scheme of the traditional styled Korean architecture. There is a little snow on the ground.

This is Gapsa Temple (the 'Sa' part, is Korean for Temple). From Koreatemple.net : "Gapsa is a beautiful temple with a rich history. It is located in the western valley below the Yeoncheon Peak of the Gyeryongsan Mountain National Park, about 19 km from the city of Gongju. Its founder, the Venerable Ado, saw an auspicious beam of light stretching to the heavens from a pagoda called Cheonjinbotap, and then built this temple at the site. Gapsa literally means the Foremost Temple, and it earned the name with very good reasons."

Hi Chris,
good POV for the temple and interesting construction a bit higher on columns reachable by a steeper stairway. The good red and green details are nice presented, with the snow around it looks like a complex light situation. Good to have some human life in the capture.
