Photographer's Note
This is the suspension bridge close to the Lyushui trail in the Taroko Gorge national park. Now, I tried ti find whether this bridge belongs to the trail but it was difficult to trave everything back according to the book "Trails of Taroko". But here is anyway few facts about the trail:
The trail belongs to the Old Cross-Hehuan Mountain road. The trail is about 2 km long, and is basically the same as when it was opened during the Japanese control over the Island. Some special things can be seen in this trail, such as: lithopythes ( a geologicall formation), Taroko Oak (endemic to Taiwan) and a Liwu river terrace.
A few facts then about the photo. I hoped that I could get the bridge without people on it, but as my luck usually goes, there came two guys basically taking samples of the Liwu river, which was quite muddy those days (am not sure whether this is always). So you can see one of these two guys still crunching there. I also crossed the bridge, and it was not that bad!
Enjoy! Alan

wow, what a bridge, alan! :-)
excellent pov and centered position showing how looooong this
amazing suspension bridge is.
i don not know if it would have looked better without people
on it, this way there is a chance to compare how big everything is.
well seen & captured, thorsten.
