Photographer's Note
I happened upon a small concert showcasing a number of aboriginal(not Chinese) Taiwanese singers and musicians today at the 2-28 Peace Park in Taipei. They were so good, with unbelievably powerful voices, and wonderful, colorful traditional costumes (although the bright yellow sneakers on the guy here are hardly traditional). I wish I knew the language so I could really appreciate their songs, but I completely enjoyed the performance nonetheless.
Most of my shots today(as with most days) were with my trusty Pentax and Sigma 70-200, but this was taken for fun, to kinda show the view I often see when taking photos. I really hope the shots from my Pentax will turn out well from this afternoon, as these people were tremendously enjoyable to watch and listen to.

Cool idea! Would be nice to get everything in focus, but almost impossible in your case. The background is sharp with saturated colors. Well seen!

The idea is good, but the lens right smack in the action of things hurts the overall composition here, Darren. I know what you were trying to do here, but for me this just does not look as good as your other work. Maybe if there was more than one camera in the shot, or a little less lens here it would have given me more impac. I hope to see more Pentax shots from this same location. Again, the idea was quite good, but I'm waiting to see more.

I find the camera an interesting commentary of what is going on here and heightens the reality that these good folks are performing under the scrutiny of tourists--among others. So I see it as an artistic photojournalistic shot.

ha, big Sigma in action ;) clever shot, I like the idea, the compo is nice too... maybe those guys are a bit too sharp though.. anyway, nice and original
and you know, I like my 70-200 a lot, great lens, and not that heavey as your... I can't imageine travelling with your Sigma.. in Cambodia I had soring shoulders from carrying my bag with the camera and lenses, with the Sigma it would be even worse, brrr... and quality of shots from this 70-200 is incredible... now i need better wide angle.
