Photographer's Note
Its in the afternoon and we had been to the Tiger Temple. On our way we saw this man planting Tapioca plants..he was still there hours later. It was a big field, and they had no tractor..just their work tools. Had it been me, it would have been a daunting task..but he carried on cheerfully..even stopping to pose.
I focussed only on the yoke stick, cropped to cinematic format, converted with B&W Pro.

This is a nice shot Ken. I find the tight crop to be very pleasing as are the black and white tones, but i find the hoe and rope to be too oversharpened. It almost looks like it casts a white hal oaround it.

Ken,
Je trouve cette photo injustement "boudée", elle est à mon goût, magnifique...et le point de vue est original. Le choix du B&W est judicieux et ajoute à l'ambiance.
Félicitations et merci pour le partage!

Minimalistic photography with as much details as it needs...That's the whole idea of minimalism.
It speaks thru its compsition. It speaks
thru its presentation.
Ascetic stuff to my total satisfaction.
stay cool, bro..

Like the crop you have used here Ken. I usually stick to 3:2. Works well here. Glad you mentioned you focused on the front of the yoke stick because it has helped to defocus the man and then the background. Another good b&w. Run out of g's today so will come back.
Best regards,
Mark

I love so much this one in particular for the focus which is absolutely judicious... Nice framing too and black and white elegant... Congratulations and sorry for my poor english...
