Photographer's Note

Chiang Rai is an alternative to Chiang Mai for travellers who want to go on an organised trek into the jungle. The treks last between 1 day and a few weeks for those who want to learn how to survive in the real junge, eating its fruit and sleeping in the forest. We had no time to spend a few days away from civilization, and I believe that living in the jungle, even for only a short period of time, is not particularly for me. We chose to spent a day on walking, unfortunately in the light rain, and admiring some sights in the town, as our visit to Chiang Rai was mostly a kind of a stopover on the way north to Laos and it was very short. In one of the temples in Chiang Rai, there were many monk novices praying and singing. I was afraid not to disturb but finally I decided to take a few photos of them. There was a dog in front of the entrance as if guarding the monks... I hope you like the photo... Greetings
