Photographer's Note

Khao Phing Kan is an limestone karst island in Phang Nga Bay northeast of Phuket. Just off-shore there's a
66 ft tall islet called Ko Ta Pu which was featured in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun. (see my post from yesterday.) Ever since the movie's relase in 1974, the island's been referred to as "James Bond Island."

So many people visit James Bond Island that the small landing area has become over-crowded and unsafe. Now tour boats anchor in the bay and visitors transfer to these colorful old covered long-boats for the short trip to shore.
