Photographer's Note
Travel on the Silk Road from Toshkent to Kashgar:
I end the presentation of Samarqand, the all-important hub on the Silk Road for thousands of years, with this Mausoleum for Kutlug Aka, built around 1360. It consitutes one of many structures along the mausoleum road, called Shah-i-Zinda. The mausoleum road developed under the Timurids into an architectural testing ground. The celebration of ceramic art makes Shah-i-Zinda a street of superlatives. Look at the carved and glazed tiles!
There was a glare in the upper right corner that I stamped over in Photoshop. Slight sharpening after size reduction, and reducing the brilliant parts by 12% were the other manipulations.

Hallo Dieter!
Was soll man da noch sagen...!?
