Photographer's Note

Today's offering is another street portrait of a quite characterful man with his typical 'ushanka' bear fur hat and as I have mentioned and experienced, the Uzbeks are hospitable lot, love their photos taken, so cheerful and not camera shy.

His expressions sum up the warmth, friendliness and high spirits that Uzbek people have.

Taken at a lively Krytyy afternoon market in Bukhara, seemed to be a pleasant and ideal location to observe people and make lots of pictures before it gets too dark.

Setting: 70 mm, 1/100 sec, F4.5, ISO Raw 320, 1658 hrs

Hello Abmdsudi,

This is different from your previous portrait, not only because this time it is a male but, also, because this time the person is looking straight into your camera.
The portrait is well placed in the frame, the features of the face are sharp and there is a very good catchlight in the gentleman's eyes.
You have used shallow dof effectively.
