Photographer's Note

A street capture of an elderly Uzbek who was in deep concentration alone in the early morning light when the sun wasn't very high. It's often older people with weathered details in the face which I find most interesting and here there was such a small window of opportunity amongst the hectic crowd in Samarkand market. This lived-in face was totally oblivious of my presence and my taking of his photograph.

Setting: 300 mm, 1/800 sec, F5.6, ISO Raw 200, 0738 hrs & polarised
