Two old pals, a photo from Ha Noi, Red River Delta

Photographer's Note

While wandering the Sword lake downtown Hanoi this pm, I came across these two old men sitting on the a bench at the lake. Without having to set up the scene, I quickly took out my Canon EOS 30D and had enough moment to capture two frames in RAW format which has now just been converted into B/W using chanel mixer in Photoshop and played a bit with hue/saturation to get the sepia tonality. Your comments and critiques are welcomed.

A really natural scene which lends itself very well to B&W. The tree is lovely, the two ment putting the world to rights maybe? Regards, Jean

Belle composition et beau traitement en N&B ! Bravo cependant je trouve le cadre un peu lourd pour cette image pleine de finesse.

Fabulous, beautiful shot. I wonder why you haven't received so many more praises for it. The composition with the tree and these old men is absolutely beautiful. A very nice, classy, artful work, and I have to put it in my second batch of favourites.
