Photographer's Note

Early morning shot of traditional fishing canoe and coracle - a very common sight in the coast of Vietnam, anchored on a calm Truong Giang river, Tam Thanh, 30km south of Hoi An. Not much to say about this, straight from the camera as seen, but interesting to note that coracles remain in widespread use and continue to serve a significant economic function in this country.

The coracles come in many sizes and normally are carried aboard larger fishing boats, where they are used as tenders and for handling nets.
