Photographer's Note

I just came from Địa đạo Củ Chi (Cu Chi Tunnels) when my friend and I decided to take a picture of ourselves with Hồ Chí Minh City Hall as our background.

Many tourists were taking pictures of themselves as well and are crowding the statue of Hồ Chí Minh. They were all excited to have a picture taken with them.

Hôtel de Ville de Saigon, as it was known before, is currently the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Head Office (Trụ sở Ủy ban Nhân Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh)in Saigon. It was built in 1902-1908 in a French colonial style. It was renamed after 1975 as Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Head Office. A statue of the Father of Việt Nam is found in park next to the building.
