Photographer's Note

I took this picture in Dau Tieng lake located in Tay Ninh province, near the border with Cambodia. There were many people working, living on Dau Tieng lake, but now most of them left the lake and move to the city. The boat we see here is the remain of a fishing village.

good motive... this is true with many asian cities when modernization is knocking on our doors, no one seems to be able to resist it.

Outstanding shot, beautifully composed with this extraordinary golden light (but I mean REALLY golden). Love the blue color of the plastic cloth and the angle of the abndoned oar across the boat. A masterpiece! Best regards, Francis
