Photographer's Note
.
As you open any of the following 12 links, you would see that the picture has been captured from almost the same point or same angle. It is because the common point of view has been produced by the place where railroad just exits from the 6th tunnel (from Danang) and where the National Route #1 takes the final abrupt elbow turn to the left to enter the lagoon: *one, *two, *three, *four, *five, *six, *seven, *eight, *nine, *ten, *eleven, *twelve.
Today, I offer a shot I took as I was right on the sandy cap shown in others’ picture. This is Lang Co’s old man and the sea. While taking this, I wish Ernest Hemingway still alive, living in my village to sail and fish in his boat named the Pilar and the fisherman in my photo is his buddy Gregorio Fuentes.
Welcome to Lang Co!
When you come and stay with us, you would realize why our ancestors had decided to name their life in this peaceful corner as 'An Cư' and why the French has adopted and maintained the name L'An Cu in their language.

Hi Thanh,
Very beautiful capture. The fisherman is placed perfectly in the composition. I like the use of black and white here; it adds a nice feel to the image. Great job, thanks for sharing!

Bonjour Thanh,
I like this minimalist compo, with almost monochromatic colors.
POV is superb, and you placed perfectly the man into the frame.
Nice job,
Regards,
JB.

Hi Thanh,
Simple but effective ... that is how I can sum up this photo. The whole image depicts a sense of tranquility which associates with fishing. Well captured and composed. Excellent! tfs

What I like most from this "peaceful" atmosphere is your decision on the sephia tone, and the horizontal line running across the fisher's hands to draw more attention on his work.
My favorite photo of a favorite location!

The timestamp of your photo is 4:16 PM but it's so dark, so I guess it was an afternoon with shower of spay. This gave more gloominess to the melancholic atmosphere. Even though the waves are beating upon the shore, the fishman may feel their noise calming down...
I enjoy viewing the broken line of horizon, and wish to visit this location when I have chance to go to Hue.
Thank you.

Hello Ngy,
I'm back from Vietnam. I had a great time in Hue and Hoi An but the weather was not good in Lang Co so I didn't stop. I was on the train. I spent 3 days in Hue and never saw the sun. Lang Co was the same. Only when we crossed Hai Van Pass did we finally see the sun. I may go back to Vietnam next year so I will try again, weather permitting. It still looks like a great place.
Regards,
