Photographer's Note

The Flower H’Mong must be the most colourful tribe of Northern Vietnam. At the remote Lung Khau Nhin market, I was mesmerized by the spectacle they bring to live as they move around in groups spreading the colour as if it was a Messiah's message. Their traditional clothes are a true delight for the eyes and an inspiration for any creative mind with those wonderful hand sewn embroideries. The beauty of these people is enhanced by the patchwork of different designs and colours.

Discovering a special someone lost in a crowd is always a precious moment. Seeing this little girl revealed in that beautifully beaded carrying belt on her mother’s back enchanted me till no end. She was following me around with her curious eyes as I was photographing some people around us. No need to say that I couldn’t resist focussing on her as well.
My previous post of the elder lady represented the colours of age, while this baby girl gives interpretation to the colours of childhood...

Image cropped to the right as there was some "empty" space. I post the original version in the WS.
