Photographer's Note
this was taken in one of the villages around sapa.
it was drizzling, but these kids were sitting on a branch of a tree and playing. there was one kid who looked back at me , the rest were too engrossed in their game. you can make out by looking at their legs that they had been playing in the rain prior to this.

Nice picture, Sohrab... Nothing to add or criticize about the composition, is more than alright. The point for me are the star of the photo, this four little kids. You´ve capture them in such a innocent moment that I would like to grow back (if such a word exist) and play with them. Unfortunately I also know and notice in your picture that life there is not so happy and that many child pass away because of ill problems... Well I dont wanna get serious in front of such a celebration of live. Congratulations from Madrid.

Great composition, colours are litle too harsh for me. But I now see reading the comments already posted that I am in the minority.

O what a nice shot :))) Children are so expressive, well cropped and colourfull. But, what are playing? I think, that they arranged a train, and the last wagoon is sad, because it is empty and they will leave it on a next railway-station??? This is just kids' world. Bye, bye!

Strong contrast and bright colours are the most attractive elements of this lovely image... And I must add that the composition is very well balanced.
Great shot Sohrab!

I was in Sa Pa from 06-17 till 06-20 but failed to catch such a wonderful action picture. Even if I was there with you, maybe I still fail to well compose like you. Congratulations!
P.S. By the way, you had chance to trek my country. Please give me some advice on how to plan a trip to your country. Thanks.

Your forte in photography is human. Either in b/w or color, your capture is really engaging Sohrab. This is really a wonderful photo. I wish I'd taken it. Not just beautiful but well composed and thought off. Well done Sohrab.

I think this is just a fantastically natural kiddy shot - it's really lovely - the engagement of the group and the innocent attention of the individual all nicely caught/framed against not the easiest of backgrounds.

I'm surprised to learn this picture was taken by you...not your usual style, so I'm really happy to see this with your name next to it. I saw this picture before I found out how to add pictures to my favourites. I have been looking everywhere for this. I finally found it as I remembered I had emailed a link to my best friend; a non TE member.
Its just lovely! especially with the mucky feet...By far, one of my favourites.

Dear sohrab,
Nice composition, great colours and good timing choice of clicking when the kid on the left looks at you.The story is loud and clear from the eyes of his, and the action in posture of others.
I like it.
Cheers,
Satyakki
