Bridgetown Pier, a photo from Christ Church, Sud

Photographer's Note

A solitary figure sits at the end of an old pier looking at the boat out to sea. This picture was taken on the beach just south of Bridgetown. I like the way in which the billowing clouds appear to mirror the crashing surf below.

In PS I enhanced the contrast in the clouds (+30) to bring out the detail and make them look more like waves. Sharpen was used mainly to get extra definition in the surf. I enhanced yellow slightly to emphasize the colour in the beach and then applied a little saturation and contrast to the whole frame.

The colours are reminiscent of what you'd find on a nice, old postcard from such a place-- warm, inviting or possibly nostalgic if one had been before. I like what you have done with the clouds-- nice and dramatic which is something different from the usual beach/tropical island sort of landscape. The person could be a little more noticible in the frame but that's minor. Well done

Jolies couleurs et excellente fixation du mouvement de la vague. Les teintes turquoises de l'eau évoquent bien cette partie de l'océan, les mers chaudes.
Les nuages dans le ciel le rendent plus attractif.

Tu foto es increible, captaste a la perfección el clima tranquilizador del lugar, la ola rompiendo en la orilla queda genial así como su composición contemplando en puente y el barco de fondo.

at first this looked like a typical beautiful beach view, but i must say that the surf looks amazing, and the turquise water is really inviting.
