Photographer's Note
This photo shows a living room form around 1940 - 1950. The two rocking-chairs are typical for any Cuban home. However the TV-set was very uncommon anywhere in the world at that time. This house was owned by Angel Castro, Fidel and Raul Castro’s father. There are four big wooded buildings here, Angel Castro’s house there Fidel and Raul were brought up, One house there youngest brother Ramon is living, one house serving as a hotel and one house there Fidel was born this house was also used for Angel Castro’s company. Some smaller building such as school and telegraph station were also present in this area. In my point of view these houses there impressive and of very high standard only really rich people could have afforded this kind of living. Photo was taken with Leica 19 mm there is still some distortion left in the picture although I have taken away most of it in Photoshop using Filter/ Distortion/ Lens correction. The distortion still present is beyond my Photoshop knowledge!

Hi Jan, You have done an excellent job of the framing in this image, the exterior view from the windows compliments the interior, which do you expose for ?, nice display of architectural detailing.I take it this is part of a museum? you don't say, and yes those heavy chairs do seem to dominate most Cuban homes. Thanks Tom.
