Photographer's Note
One of the more famous ruins in Antigua Guatemala, la Recolecion offers ample proof why the Spanish moved the regional capital to Guatemala City because of so many devastating earthquakes. As forlorn as the place looks, just off to the left is a large area that has been converted to an amphitheater for classical music performances as well as other events.
